In 2023 the International Images Film Festival for Women (IIFF) resumed its minifests in Bulawayo, courtesy of the USA Embassy in Harare’s programme ‘Economic Advancement for Zimbabwe Creatives’.

IIFF 2023 was by accounts from many sectors from seasoned filmmakers to the general film lover an outstanding success. Featuring an engaging film selection and a wide programme of film-centred events in it’s five-day programme, the event impacted both the industry and lay audiences.

ICAPA Trust continues to promote gender sensitivity, inclusion, respect, equality and build agency in communities through exhibiting films that have female protagonists. In addition, post screening discussions are held to interrogate the themes and issues identified in the films.
